Module installation is the most visible production scope on a ground-mount solar project, and the one where handling discipline matters most. Lab Solar provides crews for utility-scale and commercial solar module installation: unloading and staging, distribution through the array, placement, and mechanical attachment to the racking or tracker structure.
Modules are fragile, expensive, and delivered on a schedule that rarely matches the pace of the field. Getting them installed well is a logistics problem as much as an installation problem. Lab Solar plans pallet staging and distribution so crews are not waiting on material or walking modules across the site, and so pallets are not stranded in rows that still need mechanical work.
Handling procedures follow the module manufacturer's requirements and the project's own rules: how modules are carried, where they may be set down, how clamps and fasteners are installed and torqued, and how suspected damage is quarantined and reported. Damaged modules are pulled, documented, and replaced through the project's process rather than installed and dealt with later.
