Documentation is part of the scope
Commercial and utility-scale solar projects require contractors to manage safety, payroll, insurance, reporting, and customer-specific documentation alongside the field work. Lab Solar treats those requirements as part of delivering the contracted scope from mobilization through closeout.
What we handle
Insurance
Certificates of insurance and project-specific coverage documentation provided as required by the contract and customer.
Prevailing wage
Prevailing-wage labor requirements coordinated according to project, state, federal, and customer-specific requirements.
Certified payroll
Certified payroll reporting and supporting labor documentation prepared and submitted according to project requirements.
Safety requirements
Site-specific safety requirements, orientations, job hazard documentation, and contractor procedures coordinated with the project team.
Customer documentation
Owner, developer, EPC, and general-contractor documentation packages completed according to customer-specific onboarding and project requirements.
Jobsite compliance
Daily field documentation, reporting, corrective items, and project-required records managed alongside the work.
Ready before the crew hits the field.
Every project has its own requirements. Before mobilization, Lab Solar works through the documentation and onboarding items required for the assigned scope so field crews can arrive prepared to work.
Contract & scope review
Review the awarded scope, drawings, project requirements, reporting expectations, and required contractor documentation.
Insurance & onboarding
Provide required company information, certificates, onboarding forms, and customer-specific documentation.
Payroll & labor requirements
Identify applicable prevailing-wage, certified-payroll, apprenticeship, or labor-reporting requirements for the project.
Site requirements
Coordinate required orientations, site rules, daily documentation, safety expectations, access procedures, and reporting requirements with the project team.
Prevailing wage & certified payroll.
Public, utility, and incentive-driven construction projects can carry detailed labor-reporting requirements. Lab Solar coordinates payroll documentation and project-specific reporting requirements as part of the administrative side of the contracted work.
- Prevailing-wage project coordination
- Certified payroll reporting
- Worker and classification documentation
- Project-specific labor reporting
- Required payroll backup documentation

- Correction and resubmission support when documentation requires revision

Safety requirements change by project. The expectation doesn't.
Lab Solar works within the safety program and site requirements established for each project. Our responsibility is to understand the rules for the assigned scope, communicate them to the field crew, document the work as required, and address issues when they arise.
Site orientation
Required project and site orientations before field access.
Jobsite documentation
Daily forms, checklists, sign-offs, and project-required records.
PPE requirements
Project-specific personal protective equipment requirements.
Daily coordination
Communication with project supervision and other trades working in the same area.
Hazard awareness
Identifying changing site conditions and addressing concerns through the project's established procedures.
Corrective action
Resolving documented deficiencies, punch items, or safety-related field issues when required.
We work with the system the project requires.
Different customers use different onboarding platforms, forms, reporting systems, payroll processes, and closeout requirements. Lab Solar adapts its documentation process to the requirements established for the specific project.
